Allow Override/Change of the SSL Certificate on Cloud Files
When using CNAMEs and SSL in Cloud Files, like "https://cdn.example.com", I would like to override the SSL certificate Akamai issues with a "verified" certificate specifically for the CNAME.

Absolutely. We're currently using CloudFlare to do this (we're spending $20/month for an SSL cert they provide for our cname - it's $200/month if you want to bring your own). I'd love to be able to use Rackspace for this without having to put CloudFlare in front of CloudFiles.

This. NetDNA supports it, and MaxCDN only charges $39 /month for a custom SSL enabled domain.

This is MUCH needed for my applications. SSL is absolutely essential when handling sensitive information, and being able to deliver content via SSL without throwing an "insecure content" warning to the browser is critical.

Agreed --- This is needed.

We are a happy RSC Files/CDN customer already, but this is pretty much the only really annoying thing for us... We can have "nice" CNAME domains for HTTP domains, but not for HTTPS.
In a perfect world, it would be 1 URL for HTTP and HTTPS, and if setup through RSC Files w/ RSC DNS, I could just pick my own subdomain from Files. And then once the subdomain was setup (I suppose I'd have to) upload my own cert for it.

Cloudfiles/Akamai looks like a great option, but we'd also need CNAME support with SSL for this to work for us. We have to have branded URLs and they have to work over SSL for our checkout. I understand this is tricky to implement as Rackspace have to either allow customers to upload their own SSL certificate or offer custom SSL as a service. Based on the CDN options I've seen, we'd be a customer if you could add this feature.
+3 I would love to see this happen. This would probably need to implemented with Server Name Includes (which means it won't work with IE on XP) - and that's okay with me! Please, Rackspace, we need this!
This is particularly important if you are hosting a static site on cloud files.

We would also like to see CNAMEs over SSL to work.
Yup -- this is available in other competing CDN products such as Edgecast.
